If you’ve not yet read my book ‘Your Secret Power’, or haven’t had the opportunity to finish it, I thought I’d condense it right down to my 5 Top Tips! Obviously, the detail is in my book, but to help you get started, or as a summary for the main content, these tips will certainly help you nourish your body, mind and soul.

  • Acknowledge and accept where you are now, without judgement or blame.

Regardless of who/where you’d like to be and what miracles you’d like to attract, it’s important to acknowledge and accept where you’re starting from. Not only is this is empowering in itself as it gives you permission to move forwards, but it releases the need for you to beat yourself up for all the things you perceive to have failed at, or at not worthy of. Those feelings of not being good enough, slim enough, happy enough or successful enough for example. Blame, fear and judgement are all low vibrational energies and will only serve to keep you stuck. This is playing to your ego that is afraid of change and will do anything in its power to hold you back and keep you well within your comfort zone. Unfortunately, transformation doesn’t happen here! Accepting things as they are will make it clearer to you what changes may need to be made for you to step into your power.

  • Set Personal Goals.

If you’re after transformation and miracles, you have to get really clear on what it is you want moving forwards. How do you want your life to look? Who do you want to become? What does success look like for YOU? Avoid setting goals that are too small they won’t inspire you to take action towards them, but equally not too huge that they put you off before you even begin! And make sure they are true to you.

It’s so easy for us to get caught up doing things we feel we ‘should’ be doing, or what our friends/family/society tells us is right, that we often lose sight of what’s important to us. We may also fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others, yet we’re each on a very different journey. Your life mission and purpose will be entirely different from someone else’s and you have unique gifts and talents to share. By stepping into your power and being truly authentic to you will also inspire others and give them permission to do the same. You shine your light and you will light up others in your path.

It is essential though that you understand WHY you are doing what you’re doing, as this will help to keep you focused and motivated. Personal/spiritual development can be tough; it’s like peeling layers off an onion. You can have a breakthrough one day and feel on top of the world and then the next you may release some old limiting beliefs, or face a challenge in life and come crashing down. But if you have fire in your belly and are passionate and driven about your goals and dreams, this will definitely help you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep on going.

  • Adjust to Allow.

Once you’ve accepted where you are and know where you want to be, it’s time to take action towards nourishing your body, mind and soul. Set a positive intention at the beginning of each day and make a note of 3-5 things you’re grateful for. Not only will you raise your own vibration when you express gratitude, but you’ll shift the energy around you to a higher vibration too and you’ll attract even more things to be thankful for!

If you find yourself trapped in victim mentality with nothing to be grateful for, know this is simply the work of your ego. Even at your most challenging times, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for and expressing thanks is the surest route to raising your vibe and achieving the happiness you deserve. Where your attention goes your energy flows, which means you get what you focus on. If this is constantly about what’s wrong in your life, you’ll attract more of the same. Whereas, if you concentrate on the good and express thanks, transformation and miracles are yours for the taking!

  • Meditate

Meditation has many scientifically proven benefits, like lowering blood pressure and reducing stress and anxiety, but it also helps you to connect to your higher self and be present in the moment. Meditation is the perfect time to connect to all that is and benefit from Divine guidance and wisdom. And it’s a biggie for nourishing the mind, body and soul.

Incorporate it as part of your daily routine, ideally first thing in the morning before your mind gets busy with the task of the day. And if you’re too busy and don’t have time to meditate? Then it’s even more important to find the time. Regular meditators are found to be more focused and productive, so imagine the time you could potentially clawback if it became a habit of yours and you became way more efficient!

Don’t be put off if you’ve never meditated before. There are countless guided meditations you can follow on YouTube, or you may prefer to simply focus on your breath, repeat a mantra or gaze softly at a flickering candle flame. Or why not join my next 21-day online ‘Mastering Mindfulness’ course? Whatever works for you! You may like to set an intention beforehand or keep any questions in mind that you want answers to, but then be prepared to listen and allow!

Meditation is a wonderfully simple practice although it does take time to master, so go in with an open mind and resist the urge for expectations. If you struggle with a busy mind and think meditation is not for you then know this; the trick is to allow the mind to settle by itself, not to force it. If you consciously try to avoid having thoughts, the more thoughts you’ll have! So simply acknowledge them and then let them go, entirely without judgement and gently return your focus back to your breath.

  • Tidy up your Diet.

The food you eat not only nourishes your body, but also your mind and soul. Your brain is dependent on a second by second supply of nutrients to function effectively and they form the building blocks for hormones, antibodies and feel-good chemicals. The better nourished you are, the better you will feel, think and behave, and the more productive you’ll be. By contrast, if your diet is rich in processed foods, ready meals, sugar, stimulants and alcohol the more sluggish you’ll feel, your mental health could suffer and you’ll be far more likely to succumb to ill health. Also, from a spiritual perspective, these are low vibration foods, as are meat and dairy products. Healthy, vital whole foods, fruits and vegetables, on the other hand, are high vibration foods and should form the basis of your diet.

If your diet has a lot to answer for at present then make changes gradually. Cut back on sugar, or stimulants like coffee and tea as a first step, while drinking more water and increasing your vegetable intake. Smoothies and soups are a great way to do this! Keeping your diet as near natural as possible is key but moderation is the name of the game.

It is important to understand that mindset can play a big part when it comes to making food choices, so it’s worth considering your relationship with food. It’s not about getting it right 100% of the time, but making a lifestyle choice. By focusing on healthier food options it’ll help you transform from the inside out, raise your vibration and life force energy. You’ll feel empowered and motivated to live life to the full and this will attract no end of miracles into your life.

When you adopt a holistic approach to nourish your body, mind and soul, make sure to also spend time outside in nature and with animals, allow for personal reflection, and move and stretch your body on a daily basis too. Your body loves to move and the benefits of exercise are undisputed. Just find something you enjoy doing and commit to it!
